ASHA Project News Bulletin 2018

It’s hard to believe, that the ASHA Project Humanitarian mission trip is over for 2018.

Over the past 2 month Five Rotaractors and 5 Rotarians visited Nepal and distributed school supplies, clothing, goat distribution, blanket distribution, $100,000 micro credit distribution, and visited many parts of Nepal.

More than 500 Students received school supplies. Another 30 families received goats,  40 students received scholarships to attend various public schools and spoke to more than 150 Rotaractors about the LEADERSHIP program and met with our micro credit project partners in Nepal to distribute $100,000 Rotary foundation grant to earthquake victims to start small business. Also worked on a new computer lab and e-library Rotary international grant project with the Lilitpur Rotary club and science lab project with the Pokhara New Road rotary club.

Students continue to succeed, graduating from Junior High and High school. All this has been possible because of your continuous support and the many volunteers who participate in our Humanitarian mission. We watch the students blossom and gain self-confidence, because they know someone cares.

The Humanitarian mission for next year will start in January-February 2019 are already filling up, much faster than we ever expected. The Rotarian Humanitarian mission will be filled up with New Jersey Rotarians.

ASHA Project continues to focus on obtaining grants for the School building projects, Science lab and computer lab project, and hopes to have accomplished this by the end of this year. We are also hoping to help establish a Rotary club in Huwas, Parbat as well.
